Music I love

I'm late I know but I just discovered her. I adore Adele. Her music is amazing. I'm gonna download This song of Itunes.

If you haven't heard from this girl before. Listen to her on youtube. I give her tumbs up :)

Sickness

Unfortunately I've been kinda sick the last couple of days, nothing serious. Just feels like the flu is on it's way but never breaks out. Have you ever had that feeling? I've been to school everyday but I work so much slower than I usually does. It's annoying.  Well well enough complaining from me.

Now that I've gotten my complaining of my chest I don't know what else to write about. It's like it's the only thing of my mind. Weird. Right now I'm downloading mozilla firefox because I don't have it on this computer, and listen to some students who talk about gossip girl.

I need to go back to my work now.

See ya

Sunday evening

Today have been a wonderful sunday evening. I've cleaned a bit, washed some clothes and watched some tv. Right now I'm watching an old episode of house M.D, and eating some popcorn. I've read somewhere that popcorn (homemade) is one of the healthiest snacks out there.

Tomorrow it's back to work. I'm actually looking forward to it. It's been a long weekend since I haven't been to work this weekend

Book review: From Notting Hill with love.... actually

When I read the title I knew I had to have this book... I love both Love Actually and Notting Hill. By the way I need to order that movie, I haven't seen it in a long time... Well enough of my ramblings, back to the book. I had high hopes for this book, maybe to high hopes because I thought it was gonna be based on these movies. But in a way it's not, it's a seperate story..It's hard to explain without ruin to much.

Because of my high hopes I didn't like this book in the beginning. This is the authors first book so maybe that's why. If you had read any of my other book reviews you know that I like books with characters that I find reliable and someone I could identify with. In this book I didn't understand why the main character did as she did. I didn't understand her actions, and how she explained why she did as she did. I knew there was supposed to be a prince charming, and I could see which one it was going to be. You might think that is a good thing, isn't we all tired of going to the movies and after two minutes we know who is going to end up with who. I agree with that argument, but in this book you sort of had some very flawed price charmings and main character. I'm not sure if I'm able to articulate the problem, but something didn't feel right. It brings me back to my point about the charachters. They weren't believeable.

But as the story developed and you got to know the charachters better, and you started cheering for some of them. When the book ended I didn't want it to end, like I almost always do hehe. But I did spend a lot more time reading this book than I normally do with books in this gengre.

I forgot to included the author ops.. The book is written by Ali McNamara

book review: Under the duvet

It's time to review some books again.... Next week I'll try to review some music or movies. I know I've review more books than anything else.

The book I wanted to review today is under the duvet by Marian Keyes. It's not one of her novels, but a collection of journalistic pieces. I love her regular novels. The characters is so funny and believeable. But this one wasn't as funny and recognizable. I didn't feel like I could relate to this book like I normally can to her stories. But this is supposed to be a collection of pieces she have written for diffenrent magazines over the years. I think she is refreshingly honest and are able to laugh at herself. That is the strongest points in this book. If you haven't read anything Marian Keyes before I recommend that you read her other stories first. You should start with Watermelons.

Black and red

Day off

Today I've had the day off. It's amazing how little I'm able to do. I've been watching a lot of news today, and cleaned my bathroom. But other than that nada. It's weird. I had so many plans. I guess it's because I've had a really busy week today, and I've been drained of energy. Hopefully things well be better tomorrow

Eartquake/ Tsunami

My thoughts and prayers goes out to the people hurt by the forces of nature. I have an aunt from Philipines and I worry about her family.

I went to Thailand this last summer, and we visited Phuket were the last big Tsunami was. The thing which struck me back the is how far you have to go to be safe from the Tsunami.

I saw signs like this everywhere

As you can see you have to go 2 km to be safe. When you have to go that far it's obvious that an early warning matters a lot.

There have been sent out a tsunami warning for the entire Pacific coast.

Book review: Men I've loved before

It's been a while since I've reviewed any books, so this time I had a lot of books stored up ready to be reviewed. As you probably have guessed by now I read about one book a week. If it's really good I can read two books per week. But offcourse it all depends on how busy I am.

This book I read a couple of weeks ago, so it's not entirely fresh in my mind. The book is written by Adele Parks.

This author is one of my fave. She writes so beautifully. You'll laugh, You'll cry. I especially loves her book Larger than life.  I feel like I can connect better with the characters in that book, than in this one. I felt the decision the main characters was sort of weird. I would never do it. But as the book developed I understood why she did as she did.

It was a beautiful story, and unexpected.

If you haven't read any books by this author before, you should. I don't wanna tell to much because that would ruin everything for you.

Book review: A year in high heels

It's about time I review a new book, I know I've made a pledge to myself to review more up to date products, but this time I decided to review a book which I've had for a couple of years, but haven't read before now. I'm one of those girls who loves advice books. This book is a book about litterally everything. The title of the book is A year in high heels. The girl's guide to Everything from Jane Austen to the A- list.  It's written by Camilla Morton.

I have several types of books like this. I especially like this book because it gives advice on everything from what to wear when you're on holiday to shakespear. It doesn't have a piece for every day, but some of the pieces is so big that you could read a some of it over a period of days. Camilla Morton seems like a person who know about a lot of things, and have some exciting friends.

This is how the book looks like

Movie review: Mary Poppins

It's time for my weekly movie review. This time I'm gonna review an old favourite, Mary Poppins.

Several days after I have watched this movie I sing this song to myself. I can't get it out of my head.

Chim chim cheree

I don't know why, but this song get so easily stuck.

I haven't see this movie that many times, but I enjoy this movie everytime. I love the story and the morale of the movie.

I love Julie Andrew and I have a lot of her movies. I keep singing songs from The sound of music.

I love the graphics in this movie, the combinations of humans and cartoons.

Did you know that this movie won Oscar for Best Film and Best Song for Chim Chim Chere? I totally get why this movie won :)

If you don't have this movie in your collection or haven't seen this movie before I recommed you see it :)
